On Demand Dog walking services
DWS wanted us to investigate how a new on demand dog walking service would be accepted and used among their existing patrons.
As part of our research, we investigated features that our client's competitors had come up with, and provided these to our client to add to their operations, if possible.
We followed the Agile methodology to execute this project and iterated over the opportunities that came up from the first week.
We conducted ideation on the owner objectives for the on-demand service based on the research provided to us by DWS. We had an ideation session with the client around the GPS report card and making the entire process The key ideas that came out of this exercise was how to book an on-demand dog walker (similar to Uber) and a GPS report card that would show the path taken by the walker with the dog and photos.
I worked on the search screens for the service provider. Multiple service providers could be returned, allowing the user to select from the list and making a payment. I also worked on templating the screens so that it would be easy for other team members to duplicate the styling.
I conducted user testing remotely and in-person with the identified test participants. I was responsible for eliciting further responses beyond what the testing script had.
In the final presentation to the client, I took them through the wireframes and the user testing insights we came up with. Because of my background as a developer, I could take the customer through a possible execution of the features that we had tested, and how much effort it would take to add them to the existing product. I was instrumental in providing a complete effort estimate, along with infrastructure required, and the effort it would take for the stakeholders to adopt.
